Fresh reports suggest that four new “Fire Emblem” games are coming to three different platforms namely mobile, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS. This is great news for fans of the franchise. During Nintendo Direct, the game maker revealed the arrival of several upcoming games in the long-running “Fire Emblem” RPG series. The first announcement that was made was “Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows Of Velentia” that will make its way to Nintendo 3DS on May 19.

According to Forbes, “Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows Of Velentia” is a re-imagining of “Fire Emblem Gaiden.” It’s the new core game on Nintendo 3DS right after “Fire Emblem Fates.” New amiibo figures will also be released alongside “Echoes.” The next announcement Nintendo made was for its Switch console and it’s a new core “Fire Emblem” game coming to Switch. However, the game is scheduled for a 2018 release.

It’s the first time that a game in the series has arrived on a home system since 2007. Nintendo did not divulge any detail on the game nor did it show any gameplay footage. It is a pretty interesting announcement considering the fact that Nintendo Switch is getting more than just the “Fire Emblem Warriors” spinoff. After the Switch announcement, Nintendo next presented another game, “Fire Emblem: Heroes” coming to mobile.

Similar to the 3DS games of the “Fire Emblem” franchise, this game is also a tactical RPG where every map is confined to the size of a user’s smartphone. Nintendo has made the game simple and easy to suit it perfectly for mobile. The game will be free to play and will come to Android first.
