Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who gave Dory's voice for "Finding Nemo," is the main star of the 2015 sequel, "Finding Dory." The host-actress made the announcement in her show "Ellen," to the cheer and delight of surprised fans.

"Finding Dory" quickly became a trending topic on social networks. The ten year old kids a decade ago could hardly contain their excitement. Many are practically hinting they will fight with kids for cinema tickets.

On YouTube, user rersme warned today's kids: "I'm sorry kids this time you will have to compete with us to get the ticket and we are not easy to beat after this 10 year wait. Sincerely, 20+ years old."

Twitter user kidrauhl_lov3r issued a similar warning: "Little kids better move out of my way when I go to see Finding Dory. I've been waiting almost 10 years for this."

User CarlyMarieC tweeted, "OMG "Finding Dory" will be hillarious!!! Just keep swimming just keep swimming swimming!"

On her show, Ellen recounted the number of times she has openly called for (nay, almost demanded) a sequel to "Finding Nemo." She spoke of her disappointment as other animated movies have enjoyed sequels, but not 'Nemo.' But now with "Finding Dory," she told the audience that the lesson is to "just keep wishing."

Ellen has recently enjoyed a visit to Australia, and she started announcing 'Dory' with tales of what she's done Down Under. The funny host joked, "When I was in Sydney, I learned that there's no street called 42 Wallaby Way like in Finding Nemo. I went looking for it!"

"All this talk of Finding Dory makes me wanna watch Finding Nemo," user SPObabbby tweeted.

Ellen joked about calling 'Nemo' director Andrew Stanton for updates on a possible sequel. Then she announced that Pixar is making "Finding Dory" for a 2015 release.

"I'm excited that it's finally happening. I read the script and it's fantastic, it's hilarious, it's warm, it's everything that you want it to be," Ellen said about "Finding Dory."
