There could be no one more overjoyed than Ellen DeGeneres that the sequel for ‘Finding Nemo’ is finally announced to hit theaters in 2015. It’s no secret that Ellen has been lobbying for the sequel of the adorable 2003 Oscar animation winner and now, Ellen got her wish, with a lot more Dory.

After about 12 years, a sequel of the adorable and exciting ocean adventure, ‘Finding Nemo,’ the officials from Disney had finally stamped a date for the release of its sequel on November 23, 2015. Only this time, there will be more Dory in ‘Finding Dory’ and Ellen DeGeneres could not contain her excitement to be “riding in the tidal waves” of joy upon hearing the news.

Without wasting any second, Ellen took to her show and announced the much anticipated news. And the wife of Australian actress, Portia de Rossi shared more information than expected about the film. She talked scripts and what people who loved Nemo would love about Dory.

"I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time," Ellen said in a statement, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Taking quite a slight jab on the filmmakers - - albeit in the very Ellen way - - the television host noted that they have done a great job for the sequel’s story line.

"I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating 'Toy Story 16.' But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is -- it's got a lot more Dory," Ellen said, teeming with happiness and excitement for the upcoming ocean adventure.

On her show Tuesday, Ellen opened the day with a montage of her pleas to Pixar and Disney for a sequel of Finding Nemo, through the years. It ended with her good news that her wish has finally been granted. A poster of Finding Dory has made its way to Ellen’s Twitter and she said: “It’s official!”

Even she could not believe that Ellen will return to keep swimming as forgetful Dory.

"Kids, let that be a lesson to you," she said. "Anything is possible if you're patient and beg enough on national television. I'm excited that it's finally happening, and I read the script. It's fantastic. It's hilarious. It's warm. It's everything that you want it to be," Ellen said.
