Square Enix has been teasing a few details about its newly announced title, “Final Fantasy VII Remake.” While the publisher has assured fans that it is preparing to bring more content to the table and keep the essence of what made the game iconic, deeper characterisations may be one way to go.

This was one of the new details revealed for “Final Fantasy VII Remake.” According to Siliconera, the developer is planning to go deeper with the stories of Biggs, Wedge and Jessie. However, no other detail has been provided about this plan.

Previously, Square Enix had reportedly confirmed that the first part of the scenario for “Final Fantasy VII Remake” has been completed. This time, Gematsu has obtained a few more details related to the developer’s plans for the game.

According to the source, it appears that the developer already has the episodic structure outlined, enough to have a grasp of how many installments will be released for the game. In terms of game production, Square Enix has confirmed that it will bring in some help from the developer team behind “Kingdom Hearts.” Specifically, this has something to do with the use of Unreal Engine 4.

Finally, as for the battle systems, Square Enix is introducing another system that will be depending on the fighting style of the player. This is another system apart from the Limit Breaks already mentioned, but no detail has been provided at this time.

Despite the lack of concrete details at this point, this does not mean that the development is not progressing as expected. If anything, it seems that the developers are going at a good pace, considering how big the remake project is.

“It was great to see so much excitement when we surprised everyone with the first gameplay footage and it was a treat for us to show that development is going well and further along than perhaps many had realised,” said Game Director Yoshinori Kitase as quoted by Videogamer.

“Final Fantasy VII Remake” will launch on the PS4.Square Enix has yet to reveal a release timeline for the remake.
