An official cast for "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be revealed sooner than fans think. Given Director Sam Taylor-Johnson's sudden calling as director of the film, it's not surprising that an official cast has already been chosen. In fact, sources claim the names of the lead stars for the film will be announced this coming Comic Convention.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to hit cinemas nationwide by August 1, 2014. With only a year of wait away, this only means a cast has been chosen for production to begin in a few days. Hollywood Life reports that the cast announcement is planned for the upcoming Comic-Con giving fans only a few more days wait before the big reveal.

"A reveal of the cast is currently planned for Comic-Con," says the source to Hollywood Life.

Casting speculation has been flying for months all over the web since E.L. James announced the books' film adaptation. Hundreds of Hollywood celebrities have been named potential stars for the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

To date, the strongest contenders for the role of Christian Grey include Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill and Ian Somerhalder. Other fan favourites include Robert Pattinson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ryan Gosling and Jensen Ackles. Yet, fans have been speculating that either Ian Somerhalder or Robert Pattinson have gotten the lead role given their "connections" to E.L. James over the past few weeks.

On the other hand, fan favourites for the role of Anastasia Steele include Emilia Clarke, Felicity Jones and Alexis Bledel. Other fan favourites include Mila Kunis, Lucy Hale, Emma Watson and Melissa Benoist.
