The rumours about Charlie Hunnam dropping out from the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" continue. According to such rumours, Hunnam is giving up the part of Christian Grey all thanks to the backlash he has been receiving from fans. Author E.L. James has yet to clear up the rumours and if they are proven to be true, here are suitable replacements for Hunnam.

Despite the casting announcement made last Labour Day weekend, not all fans were pleased with the choices for the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Thousands of readers were against Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson being cast in the movie as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele respectively.

In fact, an online petition on Change.org sparked hours after the casting announcement was made. To date, over 70,000 signatures are on the petition that Matt Bomer replace Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey. Of course, this is unlikely to happen given the production executives remain firm in their decision.

Yet, rumours are spreading like wildfire over the web that Charlie Hunnam will soon drop out from the role. The fan backlash is allegedly getting on Hunnam's nerves so much that he "regrets" having accepted the part of Grey.

E.L. James has yet to speak up and clear the rumours but obviously she has no need to. Such rumours could have been started by disappointed fans hoping that Charlie Hunnam does step down from the part. Well, fans will remain disappointed because in a recent interview with Hunnam, the "Sons of Anarchy" star claims he's got the role of Christian Grey down to a pat which is sure to be "exciting and honest."

"I did a lot of research and I did a lot of thinking about it and feel confident that I have a way to bring him to life that will be fun and exciting and honest," said Charlie.

If the possibility does occur that Charlie Hunnam drops out from the film, there are certainly other potential stars ready to take on the part of Christian Grey. Check out the slideshow to find out who these suitable replacements are.
