After finally finding the almost-perfect cast for the film, producers of "Fifty Shades of Grey" have announced they'd be delaying the release of the film. Talk about delayed gratification, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to hit theatres by February of 2014. Is it due to the fact that Author E.L. James is "terrified" for the possible outcome of it?

Despite Entertainment Weekly's exclusive first look of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, fans are faced with another shot of bad news. Aside from the delay in production scheduled on December 2, the release of the film will be moved to February of 2014.

Universal Pictures' Donna Langley claimed the move wasn't due to Charlie Hunnam dropping out of the part months ago. Instead, the schedule change was something producers had planned on months before.

"We've been looking really closely at the August date and becoming more and more convinced that the right thing to do for the movie was to push it," said Langley to Entertainment Weekly, adding, "So even if Charlie had stayed, we still would have been making the date change."

As for the author, E.L. James, who is also set to produce the film, James is nothing more but "terrified" for the film adaptation.

"I've been terrified from the moment I published the book," said the author of the erotica novel to Entertainment Weekly.

"You don't expect this kind of success. Even now it floors me. My only ambition for the books was to see them in bookstores. This is huge. And there is this passionate fandom; we need to get this right for them," continued James.

Of course, James doesn't plan on bailing out despite feeling "terrified" of the upcoming production.

"I'm still taking it all onboard: 'OMG, this is actually going to happen!'" said E.L. James, to which she added, "I'm still pinching myself."

For those who haven't heard of this worldwide erotica phenomenon, "Fifty Shades of Grey" follows the story of Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) who falls into a BDSM-romance with her boss, Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). Production is set to begin on December 2 of this year with the release on February 15, 2014.
