"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie still has a long way to go before it hits the theaters near you.

Fans keep casting their favorite actor and actress to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. And reports keep surfacing on who's in and who's out. Recently, Matt Bomer, a popular poll choice, has been rumored to be out of the Fifty Shades game. The 35-year-old actor is too old for the role, according to reports.

Twitter account 50ShadesCasting had earlier tweeted Bomer "is honestly, for me, too old. He's 35 and will be 40 by the 3rd movie." The account user, however, is not an insider to film production. "I'm just here to share my casting ideas and dicuss them, if you'd like," says the account description.

Gather.com picked up the tweet and reported the producers "might feel the same way."

Meanwhile, Wetpaint has put in a nutshell some reports on Grey casting. Ian Somerhalder tops the site's Grey casting poll with 46% of the votes.

Fifty Shades film producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti have not released any names for the lead roles yet. After all, screenplay writer Kelly Marcel is only supposed to begin working on the movie script just this month.

Fifty Shades of Grey: How about Anastasia Steele?

As for casting Anastasia Steele, the same thing applies: too soon to tell. In Wetpaint's poll, Lucy Hale is the top choice with a 25% fan approval. It must be noted, however, that other polls' favorite Alexis Bledel is not in Wetpaint's choices.

Emma Watson certainly made it clear in July there was no truth in the rumours she was being cast as Ana Steele. She told Entertainment Weekly in July, "I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing."

Suffice it to say that it is still way too early to make assumptions on who will heat up the movie screen as Christian Grey and Ana Steele. Matt Bomer is still in the game, just as other fan favorites Ian Somerhalder and Henry Cavill are still among the top choices to play Mr Grey.
