'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie casting: Poppy Delevingne as Anastasia Steele [PHOTOS]

Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" are dying for the announcement of an official cast. Too bad though because Universal Studios, Focus Features and E.L. James have already confirmed that casting will be taking quite a while. Of course, that isn't hindering fans from naming a few potential faces in the business fit to play the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. In fact, a lovely British blonde has been slated to play the role of Anastasia Steele. Who would this be?

The best-selling erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey" written by E.L. James continues to be hyped about all over the globe. Apart from the books, the film adaptation has been wildly anticipated by fans. The set and script may be two of the most vital parts of the film but not as compared to the importance of the cast.

Yet, it might take a while before fans of "Fifty" will hear official news of Hollywood stars being cast for the film. Despite the earlier announcement of the film release on summer of 2014, a cast is nowhere to be found including a suitable director for the film.

This of course has led fans of the BDSM-themed novels to come up with their own cast-worthy options. Currently in the lead in various web polls for the casting of Christian Grey is "Vampire Diaries" star, Ian Somerhalder. A few favourites for the role include Matt Bomer of "White Collar", Henry Cavill of "Man of Steel" and Jensen Ackles of "Supernatural."

On the other hand, in the lead for the role of Anastasia Steele is "Gilmore Girls" star, Alexis Bledel. Following close is "Game of Thrones" Emilia Clarke and "Like Crazy" Felicity Jones. However, Bledel might not be too sure to nab the role because rumour has it she's about to get tough competition from British model, Poppy Delevingne.

"While gorgeous British model and socialite Poppy Delevingne doesn't necessarily fit the part look-wise (with her mile-long legs and uber blonde hair) she definitely has the mysteriously sexy and tease-worthy persona down!
