2013 is halfway through and fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" are yet to hear an official cast for the upcoming film. For one, fans are taking a lot of time naming one potential star to the next. Here are a few new favourites for the role of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele this month of June.

Filming for "Fifty Shades of Grey" is slated to begin by next year. Casting for the film has been under complete secrecy leading fans of E.L. James best-selling novel to speculate on lead actors and actresses chosen for the roles.

The strongest contenders for the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele continue to be Ian Somerhalder and Alexis Bledel respectively. Yet, new names continue to be mentioned and added to the mix. The latest of which include "Hannibal" stars, Hugh Dancy & Caroline Dhavernas, "Don Jon's" Joseph Gordon-Levitt, "Only God Forgives'" Ryan Gosling, "The Mortal Instruments'" Kevin Zegers, "Arrows'" Katie Cassidy and "The Voice's'" Adam Levine.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt had originally been the least favourite for the role of Grey given his "too cute" looks. However, the perception changed when JGL released the trailer of his directorial debut "Don Jon" that speaks of women and porn.

On the other hand, Gosling who had been a strong contender before is back in the bandwagon all thanks to his latest film, "Only God Forgives." "The Voice" coach, Adam Levine is the latest star to be eyed for the role.

On screen lovers in "Hannibal", Hugh Dancy and Caroline Dhavernas have also been named possible stars to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Old favourite, Katie Cassidy of "Arrow" is also a favourite for Anastasia Steele and the role of Kate Kavanagh.

The latest addition to the "Fifty Shades" fandom includes "The Mortal Instruments" star, Kevin Zegers. With the strong, chiselled jaw and brooding personality, Zegers appears as the next perfect Christian Grey.
