"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie casting news is not cooling down despite Ian Somerhalder's elimination, so to speak. The erotic series by E.L. James is one of the most highly anticipated films in 2014. Could Harry Potter's Freddie Stroma (Cormac McLaggen) play the Christian Grey role?

It has been widely reported that E.L. James has categorically disclosed Ian Somerhalder will not play Christian Grey. Henry Cavill and Matt Bomer remain strong contenders, but no one really knows what the Fifty Shades of Grey producers are thinking now. Could they choose to go with someone like Freddie Stroma (a less known but nonetheless hot and sexy actor) to play the billionaire and sex dominant erotic lead?

James has earlier said that the way she sees Christian Grey is not how other people might think. This statement alone cancels Cavill and Bomer, too. But the decision is not all up to James. So hopeful 'Fifty Shades' fans remain supportive of their respective bet.

Freddie Stroma is among the young Christian Grey candidates on policymic.com. Aside from playing Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter, Stroma's minor role in Pitch Perfect is his claim to fame. He will also be seen in "The Philosophers" with another HP star Bonnie Wright.

Tumblr has a few photos of Freddie Stroma flaunting his abs, which convinces many that he might play the young Grey. At 26, however, he could also play the present-time Christian Grey and surprise the Fifty Shades of Grey readers with a younger lead actor.

Stroma's background includes a 2.1BSc (a second class degree) in Neuroscience from the University College London.
