Since the box office success of “Fifty Shades of Grey” there is much humdrum about its sequels. The recent reports suggest that the lead stars of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will reportedly look for a seven-figure raise for “Fifty Shades of Freed” and “Fifty Shades of Darker.”

According to the insiders, Dakota and Jamie received $250,000 respectively to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the adaptation of E.L James’ erotic novel, reported The Hollywood Reporter. However, the two have reportedly signed three-picture deal and keeping the trend of franchise films, will “renegotiate” the money.

Though the reps of the both the actors are yet to say anything about the apparent pay raise, the insiders have revealed to THR that both the actors could tread the path of “The Hunger Games” franchise. “It was a very basic franchise starter deal. Look at Twilight and Hunger Games, and that's where it is heading,” added the insider as reported by the website.

“Fifty Shades of Darker” and “Fifty Shades of Freed” will follow the story of Mr. Grey and Steele. In “Fifty Shades of Darker” Mr. Grey will propose to Steele and in “Fifty Shades of Freed,” the latter will be shown adjusting to her married life. Both the films will be based on the E.L James remaining two books in the trilogy.

Meanwhile, it is not yet known when will the production of the “Fifty Shades of Grey’s” sequel will began. It has also been previously reported that E.L James is allegedly seeking "more control over the script,” which is leading to the production delay, according to Variety. It has also been reported that Sam Taylor-Johnson might not return to direct the film and the script of the film is yet to be penned down.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” was released on Feb 13, 2015. The film also premiered at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival. Kelly Marcel wrote the screenplay of the film and Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and E. L. James produced it.
