‘Fear The Walking Dead’ finally has a premiere month. The spinoff, according to comic book writer Robert Kirkman, is visually different from “The Walking Dead.”

Kirkman talked to Fangoria about “Fear The Walking Dead” and stated that he and others in the team always believed that the spinoff must stand alone. He added that in terms of story, characters and location, the show is different.

“That extends to what our visual take on the show would be, and a big part of that came from Adam Davidson, our director for the pilot of "Fear The Walking Dead" and who will be directing many episodes of the show moving forward,” Kirkman said. He added that Davidson was instrumental in coming up with a “unique vision of Los Angeles.”

The comic book writer said that the show is not going to be shot on 60mm film, but it going to be filmed digitally. He said that he is excited about people to watch the show.

He also talked about the set and how it is going to be different from “The Walking Dead.” Kirkman revealed that since “Fear The Walking Dead” is set in a metropolitan city like Los Angeles, hence the first season will be more chaotic. It is going to be more hectic compared to “The Walking Dead” Season 1.

Kirkman revealed that “Fear The Walking Dead” Season 1, episode 1 is set to premiere this August on AMC. When asked if he is willing to explore the unexplored parts of “The Walking Dead,” he said that they are not in a hurry to expand “The Walking Dead” universe at the moment.

Currently, “The Walking Dead” Season 6 is being filmed in Georgia. Stay tuned for more updates about “The Walking Dead” and “Fear The Walking Dead.” Share your views in the section below.
