With Real Madrid FC away to Morocco to participate in the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup, FC Barcelona would hope to bring down the difference of points between them down to one. This Saturday they take on Cordoba at home. In the last five matches across all competitions FC Barcelona have won four and drawn the other. Cordoba on the other hand have won just one of their last five matches. They have lost two and drawn the other two. To add to their misery they are in the relegation zone at the present moment. FC Barcelona should win this tie with ease.

FC Bayern Munich are not only top of the league table at the Bundesliga but are also 12 points ahead of the second placed club Vfl Wolfsburg albeit having played an extra match. This Friday they play FSV Mainz 05 away from home. FSV Mainz 05 are a mid-table club languishing at the 11 position on the league table. FSV Mainz 05 have not won any of their last five matches with three draws and two defeats in them. FC Bayern Munich on the other hand have won all of their last five encounters across all competitions. The champion club should be able to emerge as comfortable winners in this match.

At the Serie A Juventus FC will play Cagliari away from home this Thursday. The current Italian champions are on the top of the league table but their lead has been cut to just one point by the second placed AS Roma. Cagliari on the other hand are struggling in the relegation zone. Given the mismatch in strengths between the two teams Juventus FC should not have too much of a problem holding on to their lead.
