New “The Fate of the Furious” teaser has been released during Super Bowl 2017. The trailer showed that Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) is teaming up with the crew to take Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) down.

The teaser, whose tagline is “Big game spot,” is indeed action-packed. Although it does not reveal much about the storyline of the eighth instalment, it still manages to keep the viewers at the edge of their seats. The wrecking ball scene, the car-wrenching intensity and the face punching game are all raising the excitement level of the audiences.

Once again, the fact that Dom will betray his family has been addressed in the teaser. Dom and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are on their honeymoon, while the rest of the crew exonerate.

Cipher (Charlize Theron) makes her debut in the "Furious" franchise. She is seen seducing Dom back into the criminal world. He is in no mood to escape from there, and so, the consequence waits for rest of the crew.

Meanwhile, villain from the last instalment Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) is introduced to the rest of the team. He is recruited to collaborate with them in order to take Dom down. Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is reluctant to team up with Shaw. However, it seems he does not have any other option. Things are definitely going bad. Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), who was seen on “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,” is also coming back for the forthcoming chapter of the franchise.

The last flick in the franchise earned a jaw-dropping US$1.5 billion (AU$2 billion) movie sales worldwide. The film also minted US$1 billion (AU$1.4 billion) overseas. It had set a record, minting the highest amount as a Hollywood flick shown in China with US$391 million (AU$511 million).

“The Fate of the Furious” is written by Chris Morgan and directed by F Gary Gray. Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto), Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), Chris Bridges (Tej Parker), Kurt Russell (Frank Petty) and Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey) return in their respective roles. Scott Eastwood, a law enforcement agent working under Petty, will be adding to the cast. Charlize Theron (Cipher) and Helen Mirren (in an undisclosed role) have also been confirmed to be joining the eighth instalment.

The movie will be released in Australia on April 12. In the US, the flick will hit the screens on April 14.
