James Wan, the director of "Fast and Furious 7," revealed some exciting details about filming an action sequence that features in the movie. Fans of the franchise may have seen the five cars dropping out of a C-130 aircraft in the first official trailer. The director explained why the characters in the movie chose to make such a difficult move.

The first official trailer of "Fast and Furious 7" was released more than two months ago. James Wan spoke to the LosAngelesTimes about the action sequence that features in the trailer. The director confirmed that the scene did not involve computer graphics and the cars were actually thrown out from the back of a plane.

Skydivers and cameras on helicopters were reportedly photographing the cars as they fell down to the ground. "It's as insane as it sounds," the director reportedly said. He said that the concept of the scene was an outcome of his talks with the producer Neal Moritz and writer Chris Morgan.

Dominic Toretto and his crew were reportedly on a rescue/heist mission in the scene. The characters were reportedly required to enter a "hostile foreign territory" and according to the director this was their way of getting into that territory without being detected.

The trailer of "Fast and Furious 7" shows the team attempting to rescue the character Ramsey, played by Nathalie Emmanuel. The character was seen to be a prisoner inside a bus that was modified to carry specialised equipment and heavy weapons.

The scene was reportedly filmed in October 2013, just one month before the fatal car accident that killed Paul Walker. The actor had been associated with the franchise from the very beginning and has been playing the character Brian O'Conner since the 2001 movie. "Fast and Furious 7" will be the last film in which the actor will be seen playing this role.

The cars that were reportedly used to film the action sequence in the trailer of "Fast and Furious 7" are "1968 Dodge Charger R/T, a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 392, a 1968 Camaro Z/28, a 2014 Subaru WRX STI and a 2014 Jeep Rubicon X." The movie is slated to be released on April 2, 2015 in Australia.
