Disney star Zendaya Coleman did not find Giuliana Rancic’s diss on her dreadlocks funny and claimed it to be disrespectful and discriminatory. While Giuliana already apologised for the ill feelings she caused, Kelly Osbourne felt that her show with Giuiliana, “Fashion Police” had caused enough drama and she is thinking of quitting.

On Monday night’s post-Oscar episode of “Fashion Police,” Giuliana made a scathing comment against Zendaya’s dreadlocks and caught the ire of the young star because of it. While “Fashion Police” is known for giving out harsh critics on celebrity fashion on red carpet events, Zendaya thought it was too much that Giuliana said her “locs” made her look “like she smells like patchouli oil or weed.” Page Six reports that Zendaya thought it went beyond funny to being disrespectful, posting a long message on her Twitter saying that it disrespected many African Americans, who all have locs but “none of which smell of marijuana.”

The 18-year-old also said that that “there is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair.” She added that she wore locs on the said red carpet event to show to show them off in a positive light, and to remind people that African American hair is good enough. She even cited many noteworthy African American individuals such as Ava DuVernay, director of Oscar nominated film “Selma” and several big-time African American professors and said the one thing they have in common is their locs. Her long rant was picked up by “Scandal” star Kerry Washington and retweeted, with a comment telling Zendaya “well done.”

Giuliana was quick to react to the young star’s tirade with an apology. "Dear @Zendaya, I'm sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would!!!” her Twitter read.

Giuliana’s co-host, Kelly Osbourne also reacted to the unfolding drama. First, she tweeted that she would not be dragged into the issue. She the tweeted that she was not the one who made the weed comment and does not condone racism. She added that the incident is making her “seriously questioning staying on the show.”
