Taylor Swift's "Red" album may have flown off the shelves like hot cakes but there isn't much luck in selling her cover magazines. Publishers claim that they've been experiencing low sales when it comes to magazines featuring the country crooner? Is this a fashion flop and a sign that everyone is getting tired of Swift's innocent and heart-broken act?

Grammy award winner, Taylor Swift may have graced a lot of high end fashion magazines at the end of 2012 until the start of 2013. However, rather than experiencing a boost in magazine sales, all thanks to Swift's face plastered and printed on the covers, sales have rather been low.

In a report by Women's Wear Daily, the 23-year old singer's magazine covers of which include Glamour, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, produced a dull sale in newsstands. The statements sent in by the said publisher to Alliance for Audited Media, Swift's cover for Cosmopolitan had been the weakest issue of the year and had sold around a measly 20% below the average six-month sale. Swift did not manage to beat Scarlett Johansson, top seller of Cosmopolitan with 1.5 million copies.

Also, Swift's Vogue cover only sold 329,371 copies saying it failed to draw attention. Taylor's numbers did not even manage to beat Vogue's top seller cover, Lady Gaga with 602,000 issues and followed by second favourite, Adele with 410,343 issues sold.

Next is Swift's Glamour cover which only sold off 443,000 copies which is nothing compared to Lauren Conrad's cover selling over 500,000 copies. As for Swift's Harper's Bazaar cover, the country crooner sold a laughable 138,412 copies.

Despite the low sales, publishers of Elle, Vanity fair and InStyle UK gave already booked Swift's photo shoots for their 2013 magazine covers. According to Cindi Leive, Glamour Editor-in-Chief, Taylor Swift is still selling no matter what other publishers claim.

"I'd put money on her for the long run," stated Cindi.

With Taylor Swift's fashion evolution, everyone else is hoping Swift also does a change in career in terms of love and writing songs.

"[And what] I'm hoping is that this is the first moment in a new chapter for Taylor, that this is a left turn on her path that will lead to new and different things ..it will give her the confidence and power to do different things, to be able to broaden and take her fanbase on a journey that's unexpected. And that is, to me, what prolongs people's careers," stated the music director of Swift's video "22."
