Pregnant Kate Middleton has supposedly been avoiding hanging out with Prince William's friends. It's believed the Duchess of Cambridge doesn't like to be around people with "drunken behaviour," including her husband's party-loving friends.

Before the couple got married, Kate Middleton reportedly never misses the chance to be by Prince William's side during major events. However, since their marriage, she has supposedly been missing in some social gatherings where Prince William's friends are involved. Per Daily Mail writer Charlotte Griffiths the Duchess' "absence from a number of key social occasions -- leaving her husband William to attend alone -- is raising eyebrows among high society friends."

One so-called friend told Griffiths the Duchess of Cambridge is rarely seen with Prince William when he socialises. Kate is allegedly giving away the impression that she wants to avoid some of his friends.

"She doesn't like drunken behaviour, but some of them like to party. One drunken incident recently put her off one of William's close female friends, and Kate wasn't afraid to let her know she disapproved of her sloppy behaviour," the friend said.

Griffiths said that overall Kate Middleton had missed "eight major occasions." These include four weddings and two holidays in the past year. The Duchess of Cambridge was said to be missing during the christening of Zara Philip's daughter, Mia, this month.

Griffiths claimed she reached out to royal aids where they ruled out a recurrence of Kate's pregnancy sickness as the reason she missed the baptism. Three days before the christening, the Duchess was allegedly seen shopping in Norfolk. Kate reportedly also opted to go shopping when William became best man to his friend, Tom van Straubenzee's wedding last year. She allegedly also stayed in Britain when William was in Memphis in May to witness his friend, Guy Pelly, marry socialite Lizzy Wilson.

However, the Duchess of Cambridge may have her reasons. She is, after all, pregnant with her second child and also taking care of a bustling one year old, Prince George. But recently, Kate didn't miss the opportunity to be with Prince William when they went on a three-day U.S visit. According to the National Ledger the Duchess even bonded with Beyoncé when they talked about their children during the Nets vs. Cavaliers game in Brooklyn. Post-game the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posed for pictures with NBA star LeBron James.

Likewise, fans of the Duchess have reacted negatively to Griffith's assumptions. One Daily Mail reader claimed she has every reason not to appear at all times in every major event. Reader Angelika Bertrand claims Kate doesn't "have a lot of energy" especially with her being a mom to Prince George. Likewise she supposedly has a "full schedule of activities" and thought it'd be "wiser for her husband to shoulder some more responsibilities." Additionally, reader sk2014 asserted the Duchess had her pregnancy sickness during the mentioned occasions.

Another reader named mmrsh1963 from Tallahassee even defended Kate Middleton and thought it best if "William "get some new friends who don't enjoy getting drunk and behaving wildly." Kate has reportedly "settled down to being a wife and mother" and thought it's time for the prince to do the same as well. "It is time William settled down to being a husband and father," mmrsh1963 said.
