Last Septembert 13, Miranda Lambert made a kid battling from cancer named Brooke, was extremely happy by holding her hand while performing her hit song, "Over You." Lambert herself was brought to tears by the sweet moment caught in a now viral video. Brooke and her parents are now lauding the performer for her big heart. It is quite obvious how happy Lambert made the brave kid.

Brooke Hester is battling neuroblastoma, a cancer that develops in a person's nerve tissue, for almost half her life. In fact, she lived practically half of her life in hospitals across Texas, New York and even Michigan. Being able to catch Miranda Lambert's performance was a rare treat for the kid and her mother.

If Lambert's Saturday concert at American Bank Center Arena, in Corpus Christi, Texas was already a big treat for the mother-child duo, being able to share a special moment with the singer made the night even more unforgettable.

Lambert was singing "Over You" when she spotted Brooke in the front row that stood out prettily with her pink cowboy hat and a face mask. While singing, Lambert extended her right hand to Brooke to receive a gift from the sweet girl, a synthetic flower blossom from her hat. Lambert did not let go of the girl's hand for around 17 seconds after that and not until she got choke up by the sweetness of the moment herself. The singer can be seen to be wiping tears even after she let go of the girl's hands.

Apparently, it was not only Lambert who got emotional on that moment.

"It was awesome," Brooke shared to TODAY.com during a Wednesday phone interview with her family. "I thought she was really cool."

Brooke's mom is also beyond grateful for the sweetness of the singer.

"It just took my breath away when I looked up and I got the chance to look at Miranda Lambert and thank her, as she was holding Brooke's hand, for her complete compassion that she was demonstrating to my daughter in front of all these people," the mother shared to TODAY.

The mother also cannot stop thinking about the love surrounding the moment when Miranda and Brooke were holding hands for several seconds and everyone is looking on.

According to Hollywood Life, the song "Over You" in itself is already quite special. It was written by Lambert's husband, Blake Shelton about his father who got into a fatal car accident.
