A lot of people have a certain connection when it comes to food. For those who have a passion for cooking and have a whole family that shares that same love for food, Nine is looking for people who share the same burning passion for cooking on its upcoming “Family Food Fight” series.

Nine is now currently casting families that have the talent and skills to deliver exceptional dishes in the upcoming “Family Food Fight.” This is the network's new reality-based series that will tackle on how families would match up against other families in terms of culinary excellence.

The casting notice for the series has revealed what the network would want to see from the participants. First is that the families must prepare their family recipes that have been handed down from one generation to another and use them to battle out against other families.

Another factor is that the family members joining the series must work hand in hand in order to create a dish that will be presented in each episode. Furthermore, these participants must have a passion for their own culinary heritage and origin. This is according to a post on the Esgau.etribez website.

In terms of mechanics of the competition, Endemol Shine productions has set additional rules to follow. As what was mentioned above, families must dig deep into their culinary roots and come up with family recipes that they can present.

The second requirement is that one family must only be comprised of four members. These four members must be closely related to each other. These participants must all be amateur cooks. Having a professional or semi-professional kitchen experience will deem that particular member ineligible to participate.

Participants should also be Australian and or permanent residents of Australia. All four members of the family must be guided accordingly with this particular rule.

Finally, the producers of the show emphasised that certain traits must be taken in account while filming the series. These include family values, enthusiasm, passion for cooking, love of family and sharing of food knowledge. The most important factor that participants need to take into consideration is their desire to entertain an audience who will be watching them.

The “Family Food Fight” series is bound to air on Nine network during the latter part of this year. The application for those who are interested in joining the series will end on April 13.
