Bethesda Game Studios’ “Fallout Shelter” has been a huge success since its release last month. It has dominated iOS devices worldwide. Now Bethesada Game Studios has confirmed a release date for the Android version of the hit game.

Despite having no paywall, “Fallout Shelter” was able to generate $5.1 million in revenue in just the first two weeks since its launch for the iOS. The company has confirmed that the highly anticipated game will launch on Android devices on Aug. 13 through its Twitter account.

“Fallout Shelter” is a free-to-play mobile game spinoff of the “Fallout” series that puts players in the shoes of a Vault Overseer in the world of “Fallout.” Players are tasked a lot of things, one of which is to build a Vault for the Dwellers, survivors of a nuclear Fallout. Aside from that, the player is assigned to protect Dwellers from the dangers that could come from both outside and inside the Vault.

Upon starting the game, players are given a small number of Dwellers. Through time, the population grows along with the size of the vault. One of the basic tasks of the game is to keep the Dwellers alive. To do this, players have to manage power, food and water purification. Other aspects of the game include population control, money creation and the maintenance of the Dwellers' happiness level.

The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. statistics system from the “Fallout” series makes a return to the spinoff. This time, the system works as Dwellers with higher levels of a certain statistic can improve the efficiency of certain rooms. All rooms can be upgraded twice and as the players progress, they will have access to more and more kind of rooms.

Aesthetic-wise, the game shows 2D characters painted on a 3D environment. As for Gameplay, “Fallout Shelter” is simple and easy to understand but good enough to provide gamers with 10 to 12 hours of gameplay.
