Capcom infuriated a lot of gamers when news broke that its latest game Street Fighter X Tekken had characters that were supposed to be released as paid-for DLC were already included.

According to a report from gaming site Destructoid, characters such as Ogre-Gill, Dudley, Elena, Cody, Guy and other DLC characters for the console version of the game were already included on the Xbox 360 version of the game disc. Capcom had announced that these characters would be accessible on the PS Vita version of the game however the Destructoid report proves that these characters are not being offered on some cloud storage or on a different release date for the game.

Gamers were irate about the news especially since this means that they essentially paid for the game but they'll have to pay more money to unlock content that's already contained in the game disc. Not only are gamers paying to unlock characters but they'll also have to pay for the prologues and endings for most of the characters presumed to be on the DLC for the Xbox 360 version.

It is worth noting that Capcom never formally announced that these characters would be paid DLC. The company only announced that they would be introduced on the PS Vita and the PS3 versions of the game. Capcom has yet to announce pricing and dates for the DLC. Some enterprising gamers have unlocked the characters and their skill sets by a hex editor. These gamers have been uploading videos of these unlockable characters but Capcom has taken down those videos from YouTube.

A few hours after news broke about the on-disc DLC, pirates have already uploaded the Xbox version game on a number of torrent sites. Capcom is expected to respond to this issue. Street Fighter X Tekken is set for release on March 6 for consoles with a May release for PC and later this year for the PS Vita.
