Evasi0n jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 remains on the wish list of many iPhone users who missed the evad3rs' announcement that they were not jailbreaking beyond iOS 6.1.2 - yet. The trusted hackers decided to hit pause until the next major Apple OS update is out. Now that iOS 7 is expected to be rolled out in September, many are wond'ring if they could finally use a jailbroken 6.1.3.

It seems Apple has a long way to go before it could put a stop to jailbreaking - if that's ever possible. Apple blocked the evasi0n jailbreak when it came out with iOS 6.1.3. But the evad3rs were clear there was nothing to worry about. Skipping jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 does not mean defeat. It's preparation for iOS 7. iOS 6.1.3 fixed the exploits that made the evasi0n jailbreak work for iOS 6.1.2 and earlier iOS 6 iterations. But not all exploits were blocked, evad3r David Wang (@planetbeing) had earlier revealed. Still, instead of working on the remaining exploits, the team deemed it a better move to wait for iOS 7.

Evad3r @musclenerd also quelled any fears linked to the end of jailbreaking of Apple devices. In response to a Twitter question in July, the evad3r said Apple is "not even close" to beating the jailbreakers. This is another sign that the lack of evasi0n jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 is only a step back to move forward.

Evad3r @planetbeing announced there will be no evasi0n iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak after having tested its beta version. iOS 7 is now on Beta 6 (reportedly the final beta version), but the evad3rs have not slayed the hopes of an iOS 7 jailbreak.

"I know you have probably already been asked this but when are we to expect the new (jailbreak) for ios7?" Twitter user @RaquelMarieM asked @pod2g over a month ago. Without a definite answer, the evad3r hinted there definitely is reason to expect an evasi0n jailbreak iOS 7.

"I have no idea. But iOS 7 is not out yet... So..." @pod2g replied on Twitter.

Not everyone is happy with how the iOS 7 has been looking so far in iPhone and other Apple devices. Even @pod2g had tweeted he might be switching to Android soon. The evad3rs may or may not release jailbreak iOS 6.1.3. It will depend on the nature of remaining exploits and the evad3rs' desire to stay on the iOS environment.
