Taraji P. Henson’s “Empire” co-star Serayah has recently dished on the upcoming second season the of the hit Fox drama considering that fans are have high expectations after the successful first season.

Playing R&B songstress Tiana in “Empire,” Serayah believes that the second season can live up to the fans’ expectations. She told Billboard, “You know what? I think we have awesome writers, awesome directors, producers to make this thing happen, so I'm just excited to see where it all goes.”

For Serayah, her character completely evolved in the story line during the first season. She said she has no idea about the relationship status of her character and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Hakeem Lyon played by Bryshere "Yazz" Gray in the upcoming season .

Serayah said Tiana and Hakeem might get back together. But although she is clueless about the fate of the two characters, she is sure about the kind of songs she would like to record for the series in the second season. Among the things fans expect from “Empire” season 2 is the addition of Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz to the cast.

In terms of her choice of music genre, Serayah said she loves R&B and pop that is more sultry and melodic. For her, Timbaland is amazing as he is growing up one of his favorite producers along with Missy Elliott. She added that it would be cool to see a more soul record from Tiana and she would love to record a song that shows more of the character’s battles with herself.

In another interview with E! News, Henson described her “Empire” co-star Terrence Howard as one of her coolest male friends in life. This, however, makes it awkward for them especially for Howard, to shoot sex scenes together.

Henson said Howard wants to keep things professional but she knows male actors cannot help if they get aroused, which they joke about when they shoot sex scenes together. In “Empire,” the two play husband and wife Lucious Lyon and Cookie Lyon.

“Empire” also stars Jussie Smollett, Trai Bryers, Grace Gealey, Kaitlin Doubleday, Ta’Rhona Jones, Gabourey Sidibe, Malik Yoba, Rafael de la Fuente, Derek Luke and Naomi Campbell, among others. The first season of the series started on Jan. 7 and ended on March 18.
