What makes “Destiny” a lively experience for players is the use of different emotes, which allow the Guardians to act out moves such as dancing, sitting and waving. Usually, players get more emotes through the use of the game’s currency, Silver. However, several players have reported that emotes can now be acquired as drops during quests.

According to several “Destiny” players, they got emotes either as a reward or a loot during quests in the game. Players took to Reddit to point out their discovery. Apparently, Bungie didn’t announce the minor change in any way whatsoever, so players were shocked.

Reddit user Axxx13 posted that his partner was rewarded an emote after completing the weekly Nightfall event. The player was given a Mystery Bag, which contained an emote from Fall this year. He added that the Mystery Bags could contain emotes not currently owned by the player.

Before being discovered as a possible item inside the Mystery Bag, the emote was previously made for sale from Tess Everis using the Silver currency, which is bought with real-life money. However, the emote was eventually taken off the in-game store, giving it no means of being acquired until now. With the new discovery though, players who missed out on purchasing the emotes have a second chance at acquiring them.

Several Reddit users have even reported to acquiring emotes that are available for purchase at the store of Tess Everis. This means that players have a chance to acquire any emote even if the items are currently being sold at the in-game store.

All the emotes can only be purchased using Silver. This currency marked the entry of microtransactions into “Destiny,” Gamespot reports. Since players can now acquire emotes as rewards, they don’t have to spend any real-life money anymore.
