“Harry Potter” child actress Emma Watson is venturing to new territories as she tries to make her film debut in Bollywood. The British actress was reportedly approached by Indian director Shekhar Kapoor to star in his international project “Paani,” which stars Sushant Singh Rajput.

For now the casting for the film is still a big secret but based on a recent interview with John Travolta the actor considering a role in the Bollywood film. "I have been offered a film that I am considering doing... I believe it is an honest Bollywood film and it is called Paani, by Shekhar Kapoor. He has asked me to be a part of it,” says the “Hairspray” actor in a recent IIFA awards in an interview with Digital Spy.

"I have known Shekhar for a while now. Even though the script does not have it (songs) Shekhar said he will put a song to make it truly Bollywood. I am open to working in Hindi films if I like the story and my part," he added.

According to an insider that big announcement for movie’s cast will be revealed soon but for now fans can only speculate for the highly anticipated film. Reportedly in the making for 13 years, “Paani” is scheduled to premiere in 2015 with a tag line: “2040 A.D. When the well runs dry, we will know the worth of PAANI.”

The movie synopsis according to imdb.com reads: “Thirty-five years into the future in a city with a population of 20 million people, a war has begun in the quest for water known as the Water Wars between those that have water and those that do not. At a time when water has become a weapon of social and economic control.”

After finishing her epic biblical movie “Noah” and “Regression,” the 24-year-old actress shows no time for taking a break as she tries to widen her acting skills. “Paani” is allegedly set for early August and if things will go well with Emma she will be playing alongside with John Travolta in the international movie.

There are also some talks about her playing Belle the classic Disney movie “Beauty and the Beast” with “Crimson Peak” director Guillermo del Toro. With so many big projects landing on her lap, Emma has clearly moved on from her “Harry Potter” days.
