Staying away from her role as Hermione in "Harry Potter," Emma Watson is playing a German woman searching for her kidnapped husband in the Chilean-set period thriller "Colonia Dignidad." Playing opposite "Rush" star Daniel Bruhl and "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" actor Mikael Nyqvist, Watson recently wrapped the production in Luxemburg and will be moving to South American later this year.

Inspired by true events, the upcoming thriller features Bruhl and Watson entangled in the 1973 Chilean military coup when the actor was abducted by Augustus Pinochet's police. In order to save her husband, Watson's character Lena has to join a cult called Colonia Dignidad run by lay preacher, Paul Schäfer, played by Nyqvist.

Posing as a charitable mission, the Colonia is a sealed-off area where no one has ever escaped. Based from the first promotional still of the movie the actress gets "squished" by the Swedish actor in one of the intense scenes of the film. The first look of the movie features the two actors getting a little physical as Lena confronts Schaefer about the cult.

Director Florian Gallenberger is reteaming with Bruhl whom he worked previously in his 2000 short film "Quiero Ser (I Want To Be)" and "City Of War: The Story of John Rabe." Slated to be released in 2015, "Colonia Dignidad" will showcase the actress in a German accent and a little bit of action as she tries to free her husband from the clutches of the cult.

Shooting took place in several locations including Munich and Berlin, with the creative team that features a number of European talents from Kolja Brandt ("Hector And The Search For Happiness") as cinematographer to Carlo Thoss ("The Girl With The Pearl Earring") as sound recordist. Other actors in the cast includes Vicky Krieps ("A Most Wanted Man"), Martin Wuttke ("Inglorious Basterds"), Richenda Carey ("Separate Lies") and August Zirner ("The Counterfeiters").
