Young British actress Emma Watson to portray Anastasia Steele in the upcoming movie adaptation of the famous erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey?"

That has been the latest rumor that continues to circulate in Hollywood on which actress should bag the most coveted female lead role today. Watson claimed that she is baffled about the rumor that places her inside the room of Christian Grey's "Red Room of Pain."

The "Harry Potter" actress sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly to discuss the casting rumors that swept through the tabloids, media and famous social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. When "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" actress was asked about the role of Anastasia Steele, Watson revealed that there is no truth to it because she has not read the script yet.

"I haven't read the book. I haven't a read a script, nothing. There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.' I never even saw a script!" the actress exclaimed.

Apparently, the friends of the actress were even buying into the rumors for quite some time since several publications have already said that she was going to portray the lead female character in the book.

"I told them just because there are 60 articles on the Internet does not mean it's any less true than if there are three or four. The thing is I'm not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement," Watson said.

Emma Watson currently has her hands full on working with Darren Aronofsky's film "Noah" while she just finished filming Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring." To make her schedule even busier, Watson is also enrolled in college. If Emma Watson should be cast as Anastasia Steele and she actually accepts the role, it will really become interesting to see how the lovely young actress balances her already incredible hectic schedule.
