"The Amazing Spider-Man" heroine Emma Stone and "The Notebook" actor Ryan Gosling are working together for an upcoming musical film entitled "La La Land." The movie was written and directed by Damien Chazelle, who previously worked on "Whiplash" in 2014 and "The Last Exorcism Part II" in 2013.

Prior to the announcement of "La La Land," Ryan and Emma were rumoured to be dating. The speculations were later proven wrong and the release of the movie was announced publicly. There were also other evidences that voided the rumour. One these was Emma and Andrew's alleged reunion when the two were spotted on a date at Mykonos, Greece. Another was that Ryan and his wife, Eva Mendes, have not released any word of their divorce or split. According to Parent Herald, the rumours were simply created for the purpose of marketing and promoting the musical film.

"La La Land" focuses on Mia, a budding actress. and Sebastian, a jazz pianist. The two meet and try to keep their relationship afloat despite the risks in their careers. Other stars joining the musical movie are J. K. Simmons, Finn Wittrock, Jason Fuchs, Sonoya Mizuno, and Callie Hernandez. According to The Guardian, Miles Teller, who starred in "Whiplash," was originally going to play the lead role.

The official trailer for the film was uploaded on YouTube on July 13. Since the day it was released, the video currently has over a million views and more than 13,000 upvotes. Ryan can be heard serenading Emma with the original song "City of Stars." Many fans expressed their delight and left positive reviews.
