Eminem has commented on the lyrics of his 2004 song “Like That,” which made mention of his “Kings Never Die” collaborator Gwen Stefani. The Detroit rapper emphasized that he has always respected the No Doubt front woman, who is set to return to “The Voice” season 9 as a coach.

In one line in the lyrics of “Like That,” Eminem asks Stefani to “pee-pee” on him. In a recent interview with New York Times, the Detroit rapper said he does not think it was “ever anything that was disrespectful.”

“I mean, maybe I said she could pee-pee on me, but I don’t care who you are. That’s funny regardless,” Eminem explained adding that he has always respected Stefani. He said the No Doubt front woman is an incredible talent whose longevity is one of the reasons she was perfect for the “Like That” song.

Released as the fifth and final single from Eminem’s fifth studio album “Encore,” “Like That” peaked at number one in the ARIA charts. It runs four minutes and 25 seconds and its music video was released on May 20, 2005.

Aside from the returning “The Voice” season 9 coach, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen are also mentioned in the “Like That” lyrics. In 2000, Eminem also included Spears in the lyrics of “The Real Slim Shady” from his third studio album “The Marshall Mathers LP.”

Recently, Eminem and Stefani collaborated in a “Southpaw” soundtrack song titled “Kings Never Die.” Originally tapped to play the lead role that was eventually given to Jake Gyllenhaal, the Detroit rapper has overseen the soundtrack of the boxing film directed by Antoine Fuqua.

Released on July 10 marking Eminem and Stefani’s first collaboration, “Kings Never Die” is currently at number 80 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Another “Southpaw” soundtrack song in the chart is Eminem’s “Phenomenal,” which is at number 47.

Besides “Kings Never Die” and “Phenomenal,” the “Southpaw” soundtrack has 12 other songs, one of which is “Drama Never Ends” by Eminem’s protégé Curtis Jackson famously known as 50 Cent, who also stars in the film. Other artists featured in the soundtrack are The Weeknd, James Horner, Busta Rhymes, Action Bronson, Slaughterhouse and Bad Meets Evil, among others.
