John David Glaude recently appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” after rising to fame through his viral video about his weight loss that resulted to his body’s loose skin.

“I love this young man,” Ellen DeGeneres said on her NBC show of Glaude. “After losing an incredible 160 pounds, our next guest bravely posted a video of himself revealing his biggest insecurity.”

To reward his weight loss and bravery, DeGeneres gave Glaude a brand new Ford Mustang.

In his viral weight loss video, Glaude showed how saggy his skin has become after dropping from 360 lbs to 200 lbs through diet and exercise, losing a total of 160 pounds. The video racked up more than six million views two weeks after it was posted on YouTube.

“This is who I am and I’m proud of it,” the 22-year-old man from El Cajon, Calif. told DeGeneres on the NBC show.

Reiterating his weight loss story, Glaude said he was depressed about his obesity when he heard somebody explain that losing weight was as simple as healthful diet and exercise. Over two years' time, he successfully shed pounds.

Glaude also clarified on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he posted his viral weight loss video only to inspire others and not to look for someone to pay for his skin removal surgery.
