Ed Sheeran, the insanely popular and beloved music star, quickly accepted an invitation to perform at the 2015 Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Awards ceremony to be held in Sydney on Thursday, Nov. 26. The "Thinking Out Loud" singer is also nominated in ARIA's Best International Artist category.

"I'll see you at the ARIAs. I've never been to the ARIAs. I wanted to go every single year. Um, so this is quite exciting. I hear it's good fun. It's coming up soon only on Ten," Sheeran said in a video posted on ARIA's official YouTube channel.

Dan Rosen, the CEO of ARIA stated in a press release his excitement over Sheeran's participation in the awards show.

"We are thrilled to welcome Ed Sheeran back to Sydney to join us in celebrating our biggest ARIAs ever. He is one of the world's most successful and in-demand solo artists and has a special relationship with his Australian fans. We cannot wait to have him grace the ARIA stage."

Sheeran will be performing alongside acts such as The Veronicas, Conrad Sewell, Vance Joy, Hermitude, Jessica Mauboy, Jarryd James, Flight Facilities and Peking Duk, among an extensive line-up of popular Australian artists.

The event will also feature a special performance by Tina Arena. She will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame that night. Sheeran is nominated in ARIA's Best International Artist category along with Taylor Swift, Hozier, Calvin Harris, Foo Fighters, James Bay, Mark Ronson, One Direction, Meghan Trainor and Sam Smith.

Aside from the ARIAs, the "Photograph" singer will also be performing in Australia throughout November and December for his "x" Tour. Released in June of 2014, Sheeran’s album “x,” which is pronounced as "multiply," has constantly remained in the Top 10 and has already sold close to half a million copies (490,000 shipments) and is certified 7× Platinum. He will be starting his tour and kicking up a storm on Nov. 28 at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. After that, he will have a series of performances at Perth's Nib Stadium (Dec. 2), Melbourne's AAMI Park (Dec. 5-6) and Sydney's Allianz Stadium (Dec. 9).

The 2015 ARIA Awards Connected by Telstra will be broadcast on Ten at 7:30 pm on Nov. 26. The general public tickets to the ceremony are already sold out but fans can still see Sheeran at The Star in Sydney as he walks the Red Carpet Presented by David Jones around 2:00 pm.
