Ed Sheeran was in Kansas City where he joined The Rolling Stones onstage at a concert on June 27, Saturday. The concert was part of the “Zip Code Tour” of the rock band, which consists of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts.

On acoustic guitar, Sheeran performed “Beast of Burden”with The Rolling Stones during his surprise appearance at the rock band’s concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The “Thinking Out Loud” singer later took to Instagram to share a selfie he had with the band.

“Just sung a song on stage with these ladz,” Sheeran captioned the photo with The Rolling Stones. Also, Jagger also shared a selfie he had with Sheeran to his 1.35 million Twitter followers.

According to The Rolling Stones, they decided on “Beast of Burden” after “days of discussion.” However, Sheeran and Jagger joked that they had been rehearsing a cover of “Trap Queen” by Fetty Wap instead, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Sheeran has yet to release his third studio album. His debut studio album “+” was released on Sept. 9, 2011, and was followed by “x” three years later. released on June 20, 2014, his second studio album produced several hits including “Thinking Out Loud,” “Don’t” and “Sing.”

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Sheeran will join the line-up for Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, the annual Fourth of July fireworks display of the city sponsored by the mid-range change of department stores since 1976, People reported.

With “Today” hosts Willie Geists and Tamron Hall as presenters, the upcoming Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will feature performances by country artists Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley.

Aside from Sheeran, Paisley and Bentley, “American Idol” season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson, “All About That Bass” singer Meghan Trainor and rapper Tramar Lacel Dillard famously known as Flo Rida and is T-Pain’s “Low” collaborator, are also set to perform at the 25-minute presentation.

Airing on NBC, Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will honour the theme of bravery with effects in over 50,000 pyrotechnic shells and 22 different colours including multi-coloured transformation ghosts, patriotic stars spider webs, double hearts, crescent moons, roaring dragons, screaming banshees, purple rain blue and red octopi.
