“Thinking Out Loud” singer Ed Sheeran helped his friend Jason Boland propose to his long-time girlfriend Etaoin Corr onstage during his performance at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on July 25, Saturday. Boland is the bassist of the Irish rock band Kodaline.

Prior to the proposal, Kodaline joined Sheeran onstage for a set. After their performance, Boland stormed the stage and in front of thousands of spectators, he popped the question to Corr, who immediately said yes, AOL reported.

It was Sheeran’s first time performance at Croke Park. Aside from Kodaline, the English singer-songwriter was also joined by Irish actor and musician Glen Hasard, who voiced a character in “The Simpsons” in 2009.

Boland was not the first one to enlist Sheeran’s help to execute a proposal. During a performance on July 19 at Manchester Arena, Sheeran helped Jake Roche propose to his girlfriend Jesy Nelson. Roche is the lead vocalist of the British band Rixton while Nelson is one of the four members of the English girl group Little Mix, the others being Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

In May, Sheeran helped a concert-goer propose to his girlfriend onstage during a performance in Austin, Texas. In June, the “Thinking Out Loud” singer also helped a Saskatoon couple get engaged during a show in Canada.

After Sheeran helped Boland propose to Corr, it was confirmed that the “Thinking Out Loud” singer will play a TV role as he is set to star in the upcoming FX series “The Bastard Executioner.” Filming of the new drama series has started in the United Kingdom, according to Express.

Sheeran will not simply have a cameo appearance in “The Bastard Executioner.” He will play a regular character named Sir Cormac, a deadly and ambitious man who is said to be quite similar to the musician in real life.

Dubbed a “blood-soaked epic,” “The Bastard Executioner” is a medieval drama about how “a divine messenger” changed the life of a 14th century warrior. It is directed by “Sons of Anarchy” director and “Southpaw” writer Kurt Sutter.

“The Bastard Executioner” is set to premiere on FX in October. It stars “May Mad Fat Diary” actor Darren Evans, “Magic Tales” alum Lee Jones, “True Blood” alum Stephen Moyer, “Sons of Anarchy” alum Katey Sagal and Sutter, among others.
