Christmas is not just about gifts, shopping, food and clothes. It's also about Christmas decors. Instead of buying Christmas decors, why not make your own designs this year? It would be a fun activity and would save some money as well. It will also make your home even more homey and festive than before. Here are some easy Do-It-Yourself (DIY) handmade Christmas decors that you can do this Christmas 2013.

1. Christmas DIY for Gifts: Clay Ornaments -

Bring out the cookie cutters and soft modeling clay, and then call the kids to help out in making these cute ornaments which can be used as gift tags. Just use the cookie cutters on the clay to cut it into your desired shape. Don't forget to poke a hanging hole by using a straw. Bake the clay according to its package instructions. Wait for it to cool and dry then paint it or glue glitters and other décor you want to include in it. Click HERE to see a sample.

2. Christmas DIY for the Walls: Fringe Christmas Tree -

Make cute fringe Christmas trees that look like the real thing by using old book pages and crushed velvet fringes. Decoupage a canvas with the old book pages then just glue on the crushed velvet (preferably green) in the shape of a tree. You can add Christmas tree ornaments by gluing beads or buttons on the fringe and using an old brooch as a tree topper. Click HERE to see a sample.

3. Christmas DIY for the Doors: Fresh or Fake Flowers on a Wreath -

You can make a Christmas wreath to hang on your door by using fresh or fake poinsettias. Choose contrasting colors to make it stand out, but a predominantly red and green wreath would be festive and appropriate for the season as well. Click HERE to see a sample.

4. Christmas DIY for the Tree: Postcard Ornaments -

For easy Christmas tree ornaments, why not recycle old postcards and hang them on the tree? Just punch a hole on the postcard and then thread a pretty red or green (or any color) ribbon through the hole. Then, hang it on the Christmas tree. Click HERE to see a sample.
