The release of “NHL 16” is just around the corner and fans of the sport are sure to be excited on getting their hands on the next iteration of the game. The developer EA Canada, announced last week that it is bringing back a mode that fans are sure to enjoy.

EA Canada announced last week that it is getting back the acclaimed Be a Pro mode in “NHL 16.” The developer said that the mode will be back in full force and will also be upgraded with new features including a revamped player progression system in which you'll improve your player by the way you play.

The “NHL 15” version of Be a Pro was given typical career features found in other sports games like the ability to start at the bottom by playing for a minor league team and simulating games. On the version that will come in “NHL 16,” all features from the past title are still included but there will be much more features added. One of which is a revised in-game coach feedback system which will now give players a more in-depth report on their character, and the areas they should improve on.

But the biggest change to Be a Pro mode would be the revamped player progression system. In “NHL 15,” Be a Pro characters would earn experience points through playing games. These points would then be freely allocated to several attributes including speed, shot accuracy and offensive awareness. For players who want to create an offensive character that focuses on scoring, then they should focus on doing so during matches so that the respective attributes go up.

NHL 16 launches Sept. 15 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Fans who want to get a more in-depth look at the new Be a Pro mode can see the video below.
