Drake purchases US$100k necklace for Jennifer Lopez, still trailing behind Ben Affleck

For the past few weeks, Jennifer Lopez and Drake have been developing their blooming relationship, and the holidays really seem to have kicked everything into gear. The 30-year-old rapper gifted the 47-year-old songstress with a US$100,000 (AU$134,000) necklace -- but even that is nothing compared to the presents that Ben Affleck gifted her during their time together.

As E! News has confirmed, Drake recently presented Jennifer with a platinum and diamond Tiffany Victoria necklace. The New Year's Eve present, as the publication reported, is only proof that the rapper is quickly falling for the mother-of-two. But as extravagant as the gift is for the average individual, this is definitely not the first time that “Hotline Bling” singer has spent this kind of money on his girl.

Last year, Drake bought then-girlfriend Rihanna a billboard ahead of the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, where she was awarded the Video Vanguard Award. The year before, Drizzy took former love interest Bernice Burgos out for a vacation in Perth, Australia. And in 2013, he confirmed to Ellen Degeneres that he took Tyra Banks out to a date to Disneyland.

But while Drake has proven himself generous, his expensive gift somehow pales in comparison to presents that Jennifer’s former fiance, Ben Affleck, showered her with. According to Hello Magazine, the “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” actress proposed with a 6.1 carat pink diamond engagement ring from Harry Winston, which cost US$1.2 million (AU$1.6 million) -- with some reports even claiming it cost as much as US$2.5 million (AU$3.3 million). Before that, the actor also presented her with a US$400,000 (AU$534,000) Phantom Rolls Royce.

But while Ben's gifts were lavish to say the least, it is notable that Drake and Jennifer have only started their relationship. At this point, neither party has officially confirmed any romantic involvement, but their activities on social media only fuel the rumours that they are. It is speculated that the photo below is of Jennifer wearing the Tiffany Victoria necklace from Drake.
