“Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F” will be released in the United States for a limited time in summer before it hits theatres in Australia in late winter. The animated feature film is the 18th instalment in the “Dragon Ball” franchise, whose rights are owned by FUNimation.

According to FUNimation, the U.S. screening of “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F” will run only from Aug. 4 to Aug. 14 in selected theatres with only limited tickets available. However, details about the selected theatres are yet to be released so there are no advanced tickets for sale yet.

The second movie personally supervised by series creator Akira Toriyama, “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F” continue where “Battle of Gods” left off. In the 2013 feature film, minions revived the long dead Frieza.

With the stronger Frieza seeking revenge on Goku and the Z-Fighters of Earth, “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F” will feature the return of Whis, The God of Destruction and Lord Beerus/Bills as well as the mission of Goku and Vegeta to reach new levels of strength to protect Earth from Frieza.

Before its limited release in the U.S. in summer, “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F” was a huge success in Japan, where it had the biggest opening box office record for 2015 even beating "Fast and Furious 7," Deadline reported. Its North American release will be followed by its release in Australia, which was announced in April.

During the Gold Coast leg of Supanova Pop Culture Expo 2015, Madman Entertainment announced the Japanese animated feature film will be available with both English dub and Japanese with English subtitles in its Australian theatrical release.

In a Facebook post in April 18, Madman Entertainment wrote, “Special announcement! DRAGON BALL Z: RESURRECTION ‘F’ will be powering up into Australian cinemas, late winter 2015! Both language options will be available (English & Japanese with subtitles). More details on dates and cinema locations coming soon!”

Aside from “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F,” Madman Entertainment will also release nine other series future home video release, which include “Golden Time,” “Magical Warfare,” “The Pet Girl of Sakurasou,” “Sunday Without God,” “The World God Only Knows,” “The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat,” “Hozuki no Reitetsu,” “So, I Can’t Play H!” and “Haikyu!!”
