Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend is reportedly discussing a potential role in ITV's long-running period drama "Downtown Abbey." The reports swirling around suggest that the actress and model is already "in talks" to join the cast of the show.

On Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, Daily Star broke the news. According to the report, Cressida Bonas is an avid fan of "Downton Abbey" and is now hoping "a part will help make her Hollywood royalty."

Sources revealed that the 25-year-old actress recently had a meeting with "Dowton Abbey" creator and screenwriter Julian Fellowes. They reportedly "discussed a role." This is a big move by the aspiring actress. "Cressida [Bonas] is trying to break into Hollywood and knows a 'Downton' role would do wonders for her profile, not only in the UK but also the US," the source explained.

Cressida Bonas reportedly met the "Downton Abbey" creator "in the run-up to the Golden Globes." The meeting and their chat session was reportedly "informal." However, she was able to really impress Julian Fellowes

According to the report by the abovementioned daily news publication, Julian has even made a commitment to arrange a "meeting with the show's casting director in the UK to talk about a possible cameo in the next season, which may lead to a more permanent role."

For those unfamiliar, Cressida Bonas happens to be Prince Harry's latest ex, who he dated for almost two years. She is a graduate from Leed University. She is also a trained dancer from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

If Cressida Bonas is able to bag a "Downton Abbey" role then it would be her second big project as her acting career grows. She was recently named as a cast member of highly anticipated Harvey Weinstein's movie "Tulip Fever."

In the movie, she will be working alongside, Oscar winning actress Dame Judi Dench, model and "Suicide Squad" actress Cara Delevingne. Harvey Weinstein has some amazing things to say about Cressida Bonas and her growing acting career: "People will see what a fantastic actress she is. It will be the first of many roles for her."

On Jan. 9, 2015, Cressida Bonas was also spotted hanging out and partying with "Downton Abbey" cast members including Joanne Froggatt and Laura Carmichael in Los Angeles according to Hello Magazine. The gala event was attended by many other talented people from the industry such as Adrien Brody, Christopher Waltz and Rosamund Pike.
