After three months of ending his fiery flirtations to the presidential race, business mogul, Donald Trump cowered and decided that politics is not one among his cup of tea.

The NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice” host has announced today that he is no longer vying for the highest position in political office. The move came without Trump having even officially entered the presidential race.

"After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency," Trump said in a statement, according to CBS News.

He added: "This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election.”

Trump explained that he may not be ready to enter the public arena without completely leaving the private sector. And for a businessman, he should know that one can’t spread himself too thin.

Trump said, “I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half heartedly. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector."

The CBS noted that Trump has done ‘relatively well’ in the early surveys of the GOP field, explaining. It explained however that his seemingly increasing popularity before he withdraws from the bid was not entirely because of the public’s belief in his capability as a political leader, underscoring that it was largely due to name recall having been exposed to a number of television shows. Recent surveys, according to CBS, showed more than half of the respondents indicated that they will not vote for Trump should he pursue the presidential bid.

But before dropping his White House ambitions, Trump, also known for his hunger for media attention, has made his mark in the race after persistently and openly challenging President Obama for his birth certificate (which the President did after months of ‘birther’ questions).
