Released a couple of years back, “Battlefield 4” was one of the best shooters for consoles. Unlike other shooters, the game was keen on details, allowing the destruction of walls and other objects within the game. Aside from the detailed maps, one of the strong points of the games was the vast selection of weapons and vehicles. Although the game has been released years ago, DICE reveals that they are continuing to support the game.

DICE’s “Star Wars: Battlefront” won’t hit shelves until November, but players can pass time with “Battlefield 4” as the developer revealed that it will bring new content to the game. Kotaku Australia reports that DICE producer David Sirland announced that the studio let Sony and Microsoft test a summer patch for the PC version of “Battlefield 4.”

On a “Battlefield” sub-reddit, Sirland states that the community map will be inaccessible for a few days. This is done to ensure that the crash rates on PC are fine while running the new patch.

Sirland posted, “For Xbox One, we are finalising the build that we will update the CTE on XB1 with now. It includes both the Valley prototype and the Community Map in it’s latest form. We will stay on the Proto branch for the foreseeable future and update the CMP accordingly. More information will come as soon as we have the build ready to go!”

The community map should be back online during the weekend, either by Saturday morning or in the afternoon.

The summer patch is set to include a night version of Zavod 311 named Zavod Graveyard Shift. Some tweaks will be made to make the tick rates for servers better to enhance the quality of online play. If all the testers see no issues with the summer patch, players could get their hands on it within the next month.
