In exactly a week, come Sept. 9, "Destiny" will be out for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, but it seems that you can play as early as an entire day before the launch, provided that you already have a copy of the title.

Developer Bungie will be opening the servers for "Destiny" worldwide on the first time zone of Sept. 9. According to VG 24/7, those in Australia and New Zealand are lucky enough to be the first to experience this time zone, as they can easily get a head start from the pack who will have to wait for it in the same time as Europe and the U.S.

But if you happen to be in the U.S. or Europe territory and can have your game as early as the first time zone of Sept. 9 hits, you can join those in the advanced time zone to play your game.

"'Destiny' servers will admit Guardians as soon as it is September 9th somewhere in the world. When you play is between you and your retailer," Bungie said over their official website as quoted by VG 24/7.

Best to check with your retailer if there is a chance that you can get a copy of "Destiny" early.

PAX Plans Announced By Bungie

Before the launch becomes official next week, Bungie and "Destiny" will be making a last stop, this time in Seattle over at PAX. To be held at the Seattle Convention Center, community manager David "Deej" Dague said over the official Destiny Blog that this will be their last stop before the end of the line, which is the release date of "Destiny." The crew behind "Destiny" will be setting up shop for a panel discussion, with Luke Smith, design lead, taking the role of moderator for discussing "Destiny's" future in the coming months.

Technical art director Ryan Ellis, design lead M.E. Chung and engineering lead Luke Timmins will all be at the panel to see how the journey will be completed. The "Destiny" panel will be held on Aug. 31, Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

'Destiny' Has Gone Gold

Finally, those who will be buying the retail version of "Destiny" will be happy to know that the title has already gone gold.

Going gold means having the discs pressed, prepared and readied for shipping to retail. It still has a long way to go in terms of keeping the franchise alive after the game launches, such as additional content and regular updates, but as far as schedule is concerned, everything is looking fine at the forefront.

According to GameSpot, Activision is slating "Destiny" to become a franchise of its own if the first installment becomes a success. Since the game is already one of the most preordered titles in the season, it seems likely that "Destiny" will have a successful first run. The only thing left to see is whether Bungie's follow-ups for the title will keep players wanting more.
