Destiny
"Destiny" is getting another update 2.0.2 in November. Bungie

Bungie’s online first-person shooter “Destiny” has seen a lot of improvements ever since its release last year and fans have been treated to a lot of surprises. Just recently, the developer introduced a new refer-a-friend program that will reward players who have successfully expanded the game’s player base by having a friend play “Destiny.”

As announced, the refer-a-friend program for “Destiny” will reward players with a few items. These items are not rewarded to players from the get-go as they have to accomplish a new quest called The Hunt for Loot. This quest will only appear once the player has referred a friend, from there the player should finish the quest with the new player. It is worth noting that the feature is not available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of “Destiny.”

Recently, Bungie has revealed the rewards for players to reap with the new refer-a-friend program. The program will see weapons, emotes and more given to the players. The full list of rewards posted by Gamespot are seen here below:

  • Infinite Link (shader)
  • Sign of the Infinite (emblem)
  • Elemental Kindblades (three legendary swords)
  • EV-34 Vector Infinite (sparrow)
  • Duo Dance (emote)
  • High Five (emote)

The refer-a-friend program for “Destiny” isn’t as simple as players logging in and filling up a few forms. In fact, it is a process that requires attention. Luckily, Bungie has detailed the process of the program through its website.

First off, links should be formed between the two players involved; the veteran and the referee. The veteran is a player who has already played “Destiny: The Taken King” before while the referee is the new player introduced to the game. Referee are of course allowed to be linked with only one veteran player. The referee is not required to establish the link the moment he logs in to “Destiny” as they will be given a one week grace period.
