Destiny
"Destiny" April Update introduces a better loot system, more rewards and more customisation options for Guardians. Bungie

The latest update for “Destiny” had been a short one, but it did tease something big coming this week. Days before the E3 2016 event, Bungie will hold a new live stream.

This broadcast is titled “Destiny Reveal Stream,” slated to happen on June 9, 10:00 a.m. Pacific. And if the title is not much of a clue yet, the developer has confirmed that it will reveal the next adventure for Guardians.

“You’re invited to learn all about the next threat that you’ll confront as Guardians,” said the developer on the Weekly Update. “This will be your first glimpse at what awaits you later on this year, followed by a deeper dive with the development team.”

The latter part of the announcement may be a teaser that some gameplay footage—or at least concept images, may be showcased during the live stream. This, however, begs the question of what will Bungie leave out for E3 2016?

Considering that Bungie defined the reveal as the next big adventure, it could be referring to the “Destiny” sequel that is set for release come 2017. There’s also a buzz among players, as the developer has recently trademarked “Destiny” Rise of Iron.

Gamerant reported that Bungie had applied for a trademark to the Rise of Iron title last May 31. The trademark refers to it as an interactive game software. The source pointed out that, even with the new clues and the possible concept art for the game have been sighed, Bungie remained mum about “Destiny” Rise of Iron.

It is possible that it is saving up the announcement for the live stream. Or even better would be a grand reveal at E3 2016, as it is truly puzzling if the developer will skip a major announcement such as “Destiny” Rise of Iron at a major gaming event.
