Destiny
"Destiny" is getting another update 2.0.2 in November. Bungie

The November Update 2.0.2 for “Destiny” has finally landed as Bungie reveals the newest changelog for the patch. The main goal of the update is to improve on the Crucible experience, as well as fix a few issues that players have been lamenting about.

Detailed in the early Weekly Update from Bungie, the update has a long list of fixes for the Crucible. Quests and bounties are included in the fix list. The subclass quests no longer need to be unlocked on subclass at a time. Some mechanics for the quests have also been modified. The Featured Matches now dole out three points for every win and one point for completion. Losing teams will not lose their progress. Only Crucible Forged Quest 1 remains unchanged, as all others have their respective requirements for players.

Finally, since the Iron Banner is making a comeback, fans can expect a better experience given the new tweaks. First of all, the drop rate for Legendary Gear as well as the reputation game have been increased for the Iron Banner playlist. The latter has a marked 20 percent increase in games.

For Ranks 3 and 5, there is an additional package that will give more rewards to players. However, Bungie has already stated that players should return to orbit afterwards, as some items in the Rank 5 package will not awarded until one does so.

As promised, Banshee-44 is now selling weapon parts for Glimmer. Shaxx is also selling the three Legendary Swords for players who have completed the “Blademaster” quest, though the Legendary Swords have a level 40 requirement.

The full list of changes for the Update 2.0.2 for “Destiny” is detailed over the official Bungie website. Note that there are also changes and improvements for the inventory, activities and classes in “Destiny.”

Just recently, Bungie also announce the Refer-a-Friend program for “Destiny.” This new program may just accomplish two things for the game; that is to expand its 25 million registered players and reward existing players who contribute to the game’s expansion in the community.

It appears that the Refer-a-Friend program for “Destiny” will mimic other similar objectives like in “World of Warcraft,” dubbed Recruit-a-Friend. How that works is players who bring in a new friend into the game will get rewards for doing so, GameSpot reported.

“If you intend to show them the way to the mountaintop, we’ll have new rewards aimed at recognizing your service to the Kinderguardian,” said Bungie in a statement quoted by GameSpot.

No date has been announced for the rollout of the new incentive. However, the developer did mention that it will come in time for the holidays. Bungie even hinted that the November update will have a few details of what’s in store for the program. This come at an opportune time, since the holidays will see a lot of game-buying, and there is a big chance that “Destiny” will be one of those titles.
