The much-anticipated "The Dark Below" expansion for "Destiny" is scheduled for release on Dec. 9. While gamers await the DLC's launch, lead designer for the game Luke Smith recently revealed that the new raid Crota's End, which will be available with the content, will start with a level 30 diffulty level.

Inquisitr shared two new tweets from "Destiny" lead designer Luke Smith pertaining to the release of "Crota's End" with the "The Dark Below" DLC. Smith announced the raid will also be available with the release of the first-ever "Destiny" expansion on Dec. 9. Additionally, the designer claimed the new raid will start at level 30 for normal level raiding (see tweets below).

However, Planet Destiny claims the level 30 (activity power 120) is only for the level of difficulty for "Crota's End." The site assures players don't actually have to be at level 30 to enter the raid. The next expected difficulty level is believed to be 33 (activity power 156), if based on the game's database. "Since we'll only be able to reach level 32, you'll definitely want to acquire the new Legendary armor and weapons in the normal version to make it a easier for you," Planet Destiny said on its news wire.

According to Inquisitr, players may find it hard to reach the level 30 difficulty. Currently, "Destiny" has reportedly so far been levelling the game's difficulty to level 20. Aiming for a level 30 is said to be dependent on the "Light," which is found on the armour. "In order to reach Level 30, you must have at least three pieces of armour dropped from the Vault of Glass and one exotic armour piece which have enough 'light' to reach level 30," writer Jonathan R. Clauson said.

Additionally, Clauson claims the Iron Banner event and the Vault of Glass weekly raid allows players to reach the level 30 mark in "Destiny." However, the latter is supposedly suited for those players not so adept with multiplayer combat, while the Iron Banner generously offers Level 30 gears to gamers. However, Luke Smith assures through his tweet that "The Dark Below" DLC will also offer other means to reach Light 30 and eventually Crota's End without going into the Vault of Glass.

Crota's End, the next Destiny Raid will begin at Level 30 (Normal) when it goes live on 12/9.

In The Dark Below there will be other ways to get to Light 30 - and Crota's End - beyond running VOG.
