Demi Lovato Speaks Up: 'I miss Selena Gomez' [PHOTOS]
Selena Gomez has been spotted out and about with new BFF, Taylor Swift. Obviously, the former Disney star has forgotten her close ties with her old BFF, Demi Lovato. In a recent tweet, Demi bravely speaks up claiming to miss her best bud, SelGo.
Before the fame and glory, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato had been the best of friends. Both started out young in the business when they starred for Barney. These two had been inseparable since and had been under the constant watch of their fans.
By the time both grew up, Disney took Selena and Demi under their wing and had even starred in a film together, "Princess Protection Program." Afterwards, their careers both skyrocketed where ironically both had forgotten to keep in touch.
Demi Lovato had been sent to rehab for self-harm and eating disorders while Gomez basked in the glory of having a popular boyfriend, Justin Bieber. "Lovatics" and "Selenators" claimed the friendship was over and done especially after Lovato's interview back in March that obviously took a dig at Swift and Gomez.
"A lot of celebrities don't open up to their fans. They just tell them what they want to hear. They don't really tell them things that can benefit their lives. They just, you know, maybe flaunt around a boyfriend and sell a couple albums. That's not what my career is about," stated Demi in an interview with KDWB Minnesota radio station.
Yet, the amount of drama involving Selena and Demi kept them close as ever.
"There's an amount of love that can never, no matter what, be taken away or torn apart, no matter the situation. There are certain people who you will always, always love, so if anything, this just reminded me of how much I truly love her," stated Selena Gomez about Demi Lovato in Seventeen magazine.
Demi Lovato strengthened Gomez's statement with her answer to a fan question on Twitter.
"We grew up together and have known for a long time. Nowadays we're both super busy, but I know she will always be there for me," stated Lovato.
Even with both Selena and Demi's separate statements, both stars have yet to be spotted together. Lovato was obviously absent at the Billboard Music Awards where Gomez had spent a fair amount of time with her new BFF, Taylor Swift.
In a recent tweet by the "X-Factor" judge, Lovato finally reveals that she does miss Selena Gomez.
"Butt tweeted @JoJoWright & @selenagomez .. Guess that means I miss y'all!!!," stated Lovato.
Hopefully, the former BFF's manage to make time for each other and meet up. This would certainly be one event "Lovatics" and "Selenators" dare not miss.
