Demi Lovato saluted Bruce Jenner for finally coming as a transgender with a song. She dedicated the song to the Olympic gold medalist on her New Zealand concert.

In her New Zealand concert, Demi had a lot to say about Bruce’s decision to come out about being transgender, including thanking him for being a lifesaver to many. As such, she decided to dedicate a song to him for being brave. She admitted that she never heard of Bruce until “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” aired and never even expected herself to one day dedicate a song to him. She added that even though it is a cheesy thing to do, it is the least that she can do to show her support and admiration for Bruce. "No matter if you agree with it or not, he probably saved so many lives and educated so many people [about] transitioning into becoming a woman and being transgender and what that's all about. So, yeah, I just want to dedicate it to Bruce Jenner,” Demi said.

The song she chose to dedicate was very apt for Bruce: “Warrior.” Many now consider Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s father as a hero by being honest and open with his story of transitioning on his comprehensive interview with Diane Sawyer. The father of six and the stepfather of four shared that he struggled with his gender identity since he was a little boy. He divulged that it was a tough struggle because everyone sees him as a “macho male” but deep inside him, he feels like a female. He said not being genetically born a female but having a heart and a soul that are female makes him “for all intents and purposes,” a woman.

Demi for her part, is close to the Kardashians and Jenners. Four years ago, when she went to rehab and got out, she said Kim Kardashian acted like a big sister to her. She said both Selena Gomez and Kim checked up on her while she was on that dark phase of her life and they meant the world to her. On some of her interviews with regard positive body image, she also credited Kim Kardashian for changing the standards of what is considered beautiful and sexy.
