The official synopsis for “Deadpool,” which was recently released, reportedly somehow hints an “X-Men” character’s involvement in the story. With the movie’s plot taking Wade Wilson back to his pre-Deadpool days as a Special Forces operative, one “X-Men” character specifically hinted is Garrison Kane.

The official “Deadpool” synopsis posted by Screen Rant states that the movie will be an origin story as it will take Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) back to his active days as Special Forces operative, “who, after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. “ Plot details would involve Wilson hunting down “the man who nearly destroyed his life” and left him with newfound abilities coupled with a dark, twisted sense of humour.

According to the site, this synopsis hints of “the man” being Garrison Kane. Like Deadpool, the villain “X-Men” character was also subjected to experiments to improve his fighting skills and was given cybernetic arms. “Game of Thrones” star Ed Skrein was once rumoured to play the villain character, but according to ComicBookMovie, he may also be up for the role of T-Ray.

The “Deadpool” synopsis reportedly also hinted of the movie’s plot involving the Weapon X project. The latter was formerly featured in previous “X-Men” films where it explained Wolverine’s origin, especially on how he got his adamantium claws. According to Screen Rant writer Rob Keyes, having the Weapon X project referenced in the synopsis could mean a bigger involvement of Deadpool in the “X-Men” movie universe. “Deadpool not only has the potential to undo the mess that was 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' by offering a brand new origin for Wade Wilson, but it can offer a better take on Weapon X itself, meaning it can offer – or at least tease – a new Wolverine origin too,” he said.

However, another take on the Wolverine story will reportedly call for a recast especially since Hugh Jackman recently teased that “Wolverine 3” would be his last stint playing the character. However, it’s supposedly also possible for “Deadpool” to reset Wolverine in the future, considering “X-Men: Apocalypse” will be set in the 1980s, which is reportedly not too far from the time the Weapon X project was operated.
